Yemen’s Houthi rebels have been raiding commercial ships in the Red Sea, as part of efforts to target Israel over its war in Gaza. The Red Sea is one of the world’s busiest sea lanes and shipping companies have already started pausing or diverting cargo through the region, in a move that could disrupt global shipping and spark wider economic turmoil.
