Joe Biden shifts focus to Donald Trump re-match in November | BBC News

President Joe Biden has easily won New Hampshire’s Democratic primary.

Despite not being on the ballot, enough voters wrote his name on their ballot papers.

Mr Biden skipped the primary because New Hampshire refused to move its vote, as ordered to by the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Additionally, the US president secured a major endorsement today in his re-election bid from the United Automobile Workers.

Following Donald Trump’s Republican primary win in New Hampshire, Mr Biden made this statement: “It is now clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee. And my message to the country is the stakes could not be higher.”

Americans will vote in November and the presidential contest is looking increasingly likely to be a Trump-Biden rematch
