US Supreme Court hears President Trump immunity case | BBC News

The Supreme Court has heard arguments about whether Donald Trump is immune from prosecution for actions he took while president.

The justices have been asked to consider whether any president should have full or partial immunity.

The outcome will determine, among other things, whether Trump should face trial on charges that he plotted to overturn his 2020 election defeat.

The Supreme Court justices are said to be divided as the case currently stands.

The former president is also currently on criminal trial in New York relating to hush money payments.
