At least 110 people have been reported dead and hundreds more were injured after a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck China’s northwestern province of Gansu overnight on December 18, 2023. It was China’s deadliest quake in nearly a decade since 617 people died in August 2014 when Yunnan province was hit by a major earthquake.
