A bridge being built over the Ganges river in eastern India collapsed on June 4, 2023, the second time it has happened in a year. No casualties were reported from the incident, but one person was said to be missing. The bridge, under construction in the eastern city of India, had previously collapsed in April 2022, raising new concerns about construction safety in the country.
