US ‘gravely concerned’ ahead of elections in Ethiopia

United States President Joe Biden is calling for a swift end to the conflict in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region.
His comments are the strongest yet from the United States and follow new visa restrictions on senior officials.
But Ethiopia’s government is warning it will reassess its ties with Washington if the US continues to interfere in its internal affairs.
