UK falls silent for Remembrance Sunday – BBC News

The UK has fallen silent as it remembered those who died in past conflicts on Remembrance Sunday.

The Queen was due to attend the National Service of Remembrance in London, but was forced to pull out after spraining her back.

Prince Charles laid a wreath at the Cenotaph on her behalf, as he has done since 2017.

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Princess Royal also attended.
