Olympic tensions deepen as Ukraine demands ban for Russia & Belarus, boycott possible

When the International Olympic Committee (IOC) issued guidelines last month that lift the ban on Russian and Belarusians, it upended Ukrainian athletes’ training.
The war has already taken a toll on the sports fraternity in Kyiv.
Now its government says it will boycott the 2024 Games in Paris if the IOC’s decision goes ahead.
