South Korea’s first openly LGBTQ boy band Lionesses says it has been banned from airing a new song and related music video on the nation’s biggest broadcaster over “homosexuality” concerns. Members of the group said on December 19, 2022, that public broadcaster MBC told them the decision to ban the song was made because its lyrics could potentially cause a “conflict between genders and religions”.
