A 500-metre (1,640ft) snow corridor along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route has opened to the public for two months. From April 15 until June 25, 2022, visitors can explore the majestic mountain path surrounded by snow walls as high as 20 metres (66ft). The corridor connects Toyama and Nagano prefectures, reaching a maximum altitude of 2,450 metres (8,038ft). The winter landscape is normally available through spring, until warmer weather starts melting the walls.
