‘Iran first’: President-elect Raisi sets out his priorities

Iran’s president-elect says he will put the needs of his people first.
Former Chief Justice Ebrahim Raisi secured victory during the weekend in an election with an historic-low turnout.
Raisi has used his first speech to the nation to set the tone for the next four years, and indicated how he plans to fix the economy and to interact with foreign powers.
He has made sweeping promises ranging from fighting corruption to protecting Iran’s interests in negotiations with the West. When he takes office in August, Iran will see if he can deliver on those promises.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Dorsa Jabbari reports from the Iranian capital, Tehran.
