US Justice Department sues Texas over Republican-drawn voting maps

In the US, Latino and Black voters say they are losing their right to vote.

The Department of Justice claims Republican lawmakers are deliberately discriminating against a growing non-white population.
And it’s not just Texas – around the US, fights are brewing about voting-district gerrymandering.
