US Democratic contender Joe Biden is pulling ahead in the race for the White House having won the state of Michigan, giving him 264 electoral votes, just six shy of the 270 required.
Earlier, Biden said he was confident of securing enough states to win the presidency.
But the Trump camp is suing to stop the counting in some states and calling for a vote recount in Wisconsin.
