Tonga volcano eruption caused ‘significant damage’, says Ardern

A tsunami, triggered by a massive volcanic eruption, has caused significant damage to the Pacific island of Tonga.
The waves hit soon after an eruption so powerful it was recorded around the world, with a sonic boom heard as far away as Alaska.
