Rwanda, Mozambique forces pursue rebels after port city recaptured

A joint force of troops from Mozambique and Rwanda which regained control of a strategic port from the armed group al-Shabab in the north says it is still pursuing the fighters in neighbouring areas.
Mocimboa da Praia was a major rebel stronghold used by the group to launch attacks in other parts of the mineral and natural gas rich Cabo Delgado province.
More than 3,000 Mozambicans have been killed and up to 800,000 displaced since a rebellion started in 2017.
