North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his daughter were seen attending a February 17, 2023, football match at an event organised to mark the birth anniversary of his late father. North Korean state media has lauded Kim Ju-ae as Kim’s “most beloved” child. Experts believe she is being groomed for a senior leadership position in the regime, or that Kim might even have chosen her as his successor in the hereditary dictatorship.
