Meeting the Duchess of Cambridge, a 'real princess', aged five – BBC News

Kate and William’s first official visit after getting engaged, in February 2011, involved a trip to Trearddur Bay Lifeboat station.

There, the royal couple met Daffyd, a lifeboat crew member, and his daughter Katie, aged five, who was selected to give the couple a photo of the boat.

Katie told the BBC, ahead of the Duchess of Cambridge’s 40th birthday celebrations that she still feels the “same as I did when I was a little girl. I was just really excited”.
