Human remains found at China Eastern plane crash site as temporary road built to help investigation

Human remains have been found amid the wreckage of the China Eastern Airlines plane that crashed on March 21, 2022. Local fire and rescue services reported that the remains and aircraft wreckage of flight MU5735 were spotted after searching an area of around 46,000 sq metres (495,000 sq ft). One of the black boxes recovered from the crash site is believed to be the cockpit voice recorder, and has been sent to Beijing for analysis. Rescuers have been hampered by continuous rain, while a makeshift road has been built at the site to facilitate the investigation and recovery efforts.
