Fears of new Ukrainian offensive sparked by Russia-Belarus joint drills – BBC News

Belarus said that joint air force drills with Russia have begun.

The exercises, which will last for two weeks, come as concerns grow that Moscow is pressuring Minsk to join the war in Ukraine.

The Belarusian defence ministry has insisted the drills will be defensive in nature.

But there are fears in Ukraine that they are in preparation for a new ground offensive.
