China, Philippines hope to peacefully resolve South China Sea territorial disputes

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Philippine counterpart Ferdinand Marcos Jnr have reportedly agreed to peacefully resolve their long-standing territorial disputes in the South China Sea. The agreement was one of 14 deals signed by the leaders during Marcos’ three-day trip to China, which ended on January 5, 2023.
