Biden meets Nato allies in Poland after Putin appears at rally – BBC News

US President Joe Biden has been meeting Nato leaders from Eastern Europe as part of a visit to Poland to mark the anniversary of the Ukraine war. 

Biden told his allies that the US commitment to defend Nato members was “sacred” and covered “every inch” of the alliance’s territory. 

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a brief appearance during a rally in Moscow to mark the anniversary of the invasion – saying Russia was fighting for its “historical” lands.
