Backed by Israeli police, Jewish settlers enter Al-Aqsa compound

Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by Israeli security forces entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque early on Sunday morning, hours after the police beat Palestinian worshippers at the site.
Four employees of the mosque board were detained but they were later released with conditions.
The latest move threatens a fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, days after an 11-day Israeli bombardment stopped.
