Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk region remain optimistic about their ability to stop the new Russian offensive in the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine. Russia has launched a full-scale offensive to take control of Ukraine’s east, which pro-Moscow separatists have partially controlled since 2014. This marks the opening of a new offensive by Moscow. Russia’s military has claimed to have destroyed 16 military facilities in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions and in the port of Mykolayiv, which are in the south and east of Ukraine.
