Ukraine power plant at risk of 'severe nuclear accident', says watchdog – BBC News

The Head of the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) nuclear watchdog has warned about the risks of “severe nuclear accident” around Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

Rafael Grossi said the security situation around the plant is “extremely fragile and dangerous” because of continued military activity in the region.

It is Europe’s largest nuclear power station and it’s been occupied by Russia for more than a year.
