Tesla CEO Elon Musk paid a surprise visit to Beijing for the first time in three years on May 30, 2023. The American tech tycoon met with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, saying China will continue to offer a friendly business environment to foreign companies. Musk said his company had no intentions of ‘decoupling’ with China, and plans to expand operations in the country.
