Sri Lanka opposition rejects offer to join unity government

Sri Lanka’s main opposition party has refused the president’s offer to join the government, as public anger grows over the worst economic crisis in decades.
Gotabaya Rajapaksa made the offer after his cabinet resigned on Sunday.
Thousands have defied a curfew to protest government policies in recent days.
