With Covid-19 lockdowns in place in Shanghai since March 28, 2022, there are growing concerns about shortages of food and daily supplies in the city and many other areas of China. As the 25 million residents of the financial hub race to stockpile items, people in cities across the country have also been preparing and sending daily supplies to Shanghai to support its fight against a recent resurgence of coronavirus infections. As the city went under lockdown in several stages, couriers in Shanghai have been scrambling to deliver packages to communities in need. But decreased capacity and logistics problems have caused long delays.
