A journalist from Russian state TV station Channel One was detained after holding an anti-war sign and saying ‘stop the war’ during a live news broadcast on March 14, 2022, in a protest against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. She was then detained by authorities and fined US$280 (30,000 roubles) on March 15.The journalist was identified by OVD-Info, a Russian human rights group, as Marina Ovsyannikova.
