A popular roller coaster at North Carolina’s Carowinds amusement park remained closed on July 3, 2023, after a visitor a few days earlier recorded a video showing a reported cracked support pillar. In a statement released to the media, Carowinds said the Fury 325 ride had closed “after park personnel became aware of a crack at the top of a steel support pillar.”
