The North Korean capital Pyongyang has been ordered to undergo a five-day lockdown due to an unspecified respiratory illness, according to a report by Seoul-based NK News. There was no mention of the Covid-19 virus, but according to a government notice, residents must stay home and register their temperatures throughout the day. Last August, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un declared “victory” over Covid-19 after a months-long lockdown.
