Singles in Jinan, in China’s eastern Shandong province, are attending matchmaking events supported by the local Chinese Communist Party’s youth wing as Beijing looks to reverse its population woes. These matchmakers hope to connect unmarried young people in the hopes it will result in more marriages, and lead to more babies being born.
