Israel’s Netanyahu could lose PM job as rivals join forces

Israeli far-right politician Naftali Bennett says he will join a governing coalition that could end the rule of the country’s longest-serving leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Bennett’s Yamina party has six crucial seats in parliament which makes him a kingmaker.
Political rivals Bennett and Yair Lapid, a centrist, are discussing the unity government’s formation before a deadline on Wednesday.
Israel has had four inconclusive elections over the past two years and Netanyahu who faces corruption charges, said Bennett’s decision would jeopardise Israel’s security.
