IN FULL: Queensland records one new COVID-19 case | ABC News

Queensland has recorded one new locally acquired case of COVID-19 —the mother of a four-year-old girl who tested positive on Friday. Subscribe: https://ab.co/2WZQSmq

The girl is believed to be a contact of the 46-year-old truck driver from Windaroo who was deemed to have been infectious from August 27.

The truck driver had travelled from Sydney to Queensland and back to New South Wales, with his movements causing concern in the Logan region.

The mother’s case is not of concern to authorities, with Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young confirming the girl’s mother was already in isolation and had tested negative twice before.
