'I will never lie to you': Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany fact-checked

Kayleigh McEnany, Donald Trump’s new press secretary, told journalists she would ‘never lie’ to them, during her first briefing on the coronavirus outbreak in the US on Friday 1 May and yet made notably false statements at the White House briefing room podium, four of which have been fact-checked here.
The promise is notable considering one of McEnany’s predecessors, Sean Spicer, began his tenure by sharing false claims about the size of the crowd at Trump’s inauguration
