As India fights to contain the world’s deadliest surge in Covid-19 cases, Hong Kong-based Indians are pitching in to help ease the plight of their compatriots. Indian artist Urmila Menon, who moved to Hong Kong in 2017, organised a fundraiser by selling her artwork on Instagram. She plans to donate all proceeds raised to an NGO providing coronavirus relief to India. While long-time Hong Kong resident Baljinder Singh is sending $100,000 (US$12,882) in medical supplies to the country he considers home.
