Anwar Ibrahim has been sworn in as Malaysia’s new prime minister on November 24, 2022, ending the political deadlock in the country. His swearing-in was a long time coming, after years of political ups and downs, including a decade in prison on sodomy and corruption charges, which he said were politically motivated.
