Foreign aid to Tonga hampered by strict Covid rules – BBC News

International aid is arriving in Tonga one week after it was hit by a devastating tsunami, but its distribution is being delayed as officials attempt to keep Covid out of the island nation.

Countries such as the UK, Japan, New Zealand and Australia have sent aid but much of it remains in Fiji, where the coordination process is taking place.
