Families demand accountability after Itaewon Halloween crush in South Korea – BBC News

Families who lost loved ones in the Halloween crush in South Korea are demanding accountability from officials and the resignation of President Yoon Suk-yeol.

More than 150 young people attending the event on the streets of Seoul on 29 October died after crowds surged into a narrow alleyway in the popular Itaewon district.

Thousands of people have since taken to the streets to demand the president to step down, frustrated no one has yet taken responsibility.
