Politicians across Europe are weighing up how best to battle large rises in Covid cases.

Austria has already imposed some lockdown restrictions for the unvaccinated only, and other countries such as Germany are considering re-introducing some rules as Christmas approaches.

The debate about whether vaccines alone are enough to stop the spread of the virus is one of the main reasons some politicians want restrictions re-imposed.
