Canada floods: Air force sent as BC declares state of emergency

A provincial state of emergency is now in effect in Canada’s British Columbia, after heavy rainfall triggered flooding and mudslides.
Canada’s military forces are assisting with evacuations as torrential rains caused floods and landslides, closing roads and railways.
Major highways and a number of bridges in the province have also been cut off, and at least one person has died.

Al Jazeera’s Jody Vance reports from Vancouver, Canada.
