Friends of woman who died on flight from LA to Melbourne mystified

A woman who died in mysterious circumstances on board a Qantas flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne was an avid traveller who had flown the same route many times before.
Aleisha Tracy, 33, died just hours into the 16-hour flight on Monday. She was heading home after a holiday in the US.
Her devastated friends said they had ‘no idea’ how Ms Tracy died, given she had no known medical conditions and was ‘happy and healthy’ before she got on board QF94.
Victoria Police said Ms Tracy’s death would be for the coroner to investigate, and a post mortem examination was due to be carried out on Tuesday.

A close friend David Loiterton paid tribute to Ms Tracy, a National Broadband Network operations centre employee, on Facebook, just hours after her death.
‘Aleisha Tracy I’m devastated. I will miss you brightening up my day. I will miss your hilarious stories … I will miss your bargain stories. I will miss your messages and seeing your face pop up,’ Mr Loiterton wrote.
‘I will miss your famous selfie pose. I will miss us looking at each other and knowing what we mean.’
Photos of Ms Tracy’s United States trip were posted to social media in the days before her fateful flight home.
Her Instagram account shows holiday snaps of Las Vegas and hauntingly a photo of her Qantas boarding pass.
Just a year ago, Ms Tracy commented on social media about traveling between LA and Melbourne – a route she had flown many times before.
‘The 787 is maybe suitable for a trip to Bali. But that is it,’ Ms Tracy wrote.
‘Melbourne to LA – the only advantage of this flight is the fact it doesn’t arrive at 6am in the morning like the A380 does. But that is it.’
Qantas confirmed its cabin crew was assisted by two doctors on-board the flight in trying to save Ms Tracy.
Medical services met the aircraft upon arrival in Melbourne Airport.
Another friend of Ms Tracy told Daily Mail Australia the popular woman’s family and friends were mystified as to how she may have died on the flight.
‘We are completely at a loss,’ he said.

It is understood Ms Tracy was in the prime of her life and was excited about moving into a new apartment.
Mr Loiterton described Ms Tracy as a ‘one of a kind friend who was always there’.
‘I will miss hearing about your up coming holidays. I will miss talking about all the shows that we like,’ he wrote.
‘I am truly blessed to have known you. Thank you for such a beautiful friend. I will miss you. Xo.’
Friend Sherlyn Moynihan described Ms Tracy as an entertainer who always had people in stitches.
‘(I) loved sitting in the back of the car just listening and laughing at her stories and how she made us all giggle,’ she wrote.
‘It breaks my heart to see her leave and go just like that in a split second .. all I know is she touched my heart and soul.’
A passenger who claimed to be on the flight posted online that everything that could have been done for Ms Tracy on-board was done.
‘We were on this flight and the QANTAS staff, could not be faulted, they were amazing. A very sad situation and my thoughts are with the family,’ she posted on social media.
A Qantas spokesman today described the incident as ‘tragic’ but would not reveal any further information on the matter.
Ms Tracy’s family declined to comment.
